6 Reasons why any self-respecting Sikh or Hindu should vote for the Conservatives and never Labour

If we went back to the 1960s and 1970s you would find endemic racism in both major UK political parties.

It was a sign of the times, a Labour MP once talked of forced integration, ironic as Indians today, predominately Sikhs and Hindus are some of the most integrated communities. There was a time when Labour representatives were actively preventing Indians from buying housing in Southall. Locals would refuse to sell houses to them, which meant many had to pool together cash and buy houses in larger groups wherever they could, resulting in large numbers of people living in 3 bedroom houses.

As the Asian minority grew in the UK, Labour saw an opportunity, it was the party of the poor and working class, which most of them were. The Tories a party of the harder line Christian, the rich. Labour soon gathered the minority vote, whether it be Sikh, Hindu, Muslim or Black or Disabled. They claimed to stand for the underrepresented. Many Indians began voting and standing for Labour and before long Labour garnered most of the Sikh and Hindu vote.

So what changed?

Over time, Labour realised a large majority of its minority vote, were Muslims, whether they be from the Black, Arab or the Pakistani community. As left, red socialists they began to see those successful in society as the enemy, Jews, Sikhs or Hindus. Sikhs and Hindus had become educated, gone to university, setup successful businesses and their communities now contained a large number of professionals.

They saw a great way of harnessing the harder line Muslim vote was to support anti-Semitism and viewing Sikhs and Hindus as part of the rich elite. Everything changed in 2010 when we saw the voting dynamics show a huge sway of Indians going from being traditional Labour to voting for the Conservatives.

The data was clear cut, the Indian voters began ditching Labour for the Tories.

Muslim: 64% Labour, 25% Conservative

Hindu: 41% Labour, 49% Conservative

Sikh (based on a small sample): 41% Labour, 49% Conservative

Labour had started playing identity politics and identity politics on the left eventually triggers identity politics on the right. Indians were frustrated and angry at Labour for not listening to them and appeasing certain sections of the Muslim community – and we’re not talking just terrorism.

For the 2015 UK elections, the National Council of Hindu Temples started urging Hindus to stop being a votebank for the Labour Party, and instead vote Conservative.

Reason 1: Rochdale, Rotherham and the Sikh and Hindu Organisations

Many will know of the high profile case of Pakistani Muslim men targeting young white girls, in various towns across the UK, including Rochdale and Rotherham.

This has not always been young white girls.

Since the late 1990s to around 2010, ever since Labour came into power, many Sikh and Hindu community leaders were becoming concerned at the alarming rate of girls that were being harassed by Pakistani Muslim men. A term that has been coined as Love Jihad in India.

The difference here is the white girls came out, but the Sikh and Hindu girls had nowhere to go.

Speaking out to the media would not be an option because of cultural sensitivities. Many thought that their reputation would be tarnished and that any chance of their daughters to ever get married would be ruined. Some of these girls ended up going abroad to America and Canada to start a new life. However there were those who did speak out. In 2013, the BBC did cover some cases from years back, but never to the scale of the Rochdale and Rotherham abuse. Generally the media have been less sympathetic towards brown skinned victims than a white victim, it won’t sell papers.

Indian community leaders from religious councils and other organisations were frustrated, just as the wider community was at what happened in Rotherham. Labour councillors were accused of sitting on their hands on purpose. A report by social worker Alexis Jay made clear that the Labour-dominated council turned a blind eye to child sexual exploitation issues, partly because it involved offenders from a community ‘expected to vote Labour’.

Some policemen made comments that nothing was done because of “racial sensitivity”, white people complaining about non-white, yet when Indians complained nothing happened. The truth is Labour did not want to upset its Muslim vote bloc. We can draw parallels of this and what happened in India, where the previous Congress government has done exactly the same for decades to keep the Muslim vote, allowing abuse and harassment to go on.

It was only when the Conservatives came into power in 2010 that things changed.

Reason 2: Hating on Narendra Modi, purely because he is a Hindu

It’s now clear amongst Indian commentators how much political spin the opposition party (Congress) created to defame Modi in the early 2000s, seeing him as a rising threat to pushing out the Congress government, they created court case after court case and used false witnesses to blame him for riots against Muslims that he had no part in.

India soon rejected the politics being played by the Gandhi family and thousands upon thousands of Muslims ended up voting for Modi. Many Muslim scholars also backed Modi, the Muslim community had realised they had been used by the left wing Congress party for votes and were being held back from progression purely for political power. The final slap in the face of anti-Modites came when one of the strictest Muslim countries in the world Saudi Arabia, conferred the highest civilian honour, the King Abdulaziz Sash to Narendra Modi.

However over in the UK, Labour knew it could lose its Muslim support if it’s seen as getting close to him, they knew hardliners in the Pakistani community want them to continue to play the narrative that Modi was some sort of killer. The anti-Modi brigade continued to try to defame him, purely because they don’t like the idea of a traditional Hindu in power in India. Corbyn even signed a parliamentary motion calling on the British government to reinstate its diplomatic boycott of Modi.

Reason 3: Labour and the lefts general hatred of Jews, India and Indians

It’s no secret that Labour and various left wing media outlets like the Guardian are openly anti-Indian. After all, Indians have fostered great business relations and wealth since they came to the UK, they in the eyes of Labour are equivalent to the rich enterprising Jews. Labour and Corbyn would rather support Hamas than the Jews. They would rather support British Pakistani (Kashmiris), rather than the Sikhs and Hindus, to keep its voter base. We’ve seen Ken Livingstone make comments anti-Semitic comments and Bradford West Labour MP Naz Shah make anti-Semitic comments only to backtrack to keep her seat.

Despite many Labour MP’s stating such views, its own rigged investigation by Shami Chakrabarti found it had no problem in the party with anti-Semitism. Corbyn then went to proceed to pay her off with a nomination for a peerage. Nothing could have been more rigged and cringe worthy to watch in party politics.

After all, hating Jews keeps your voters happy right?

Reason 4: Supporting terror groups

The current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn received criticism for calling Hamas and Hizbollah “friends”. Both groups have been listed as terrorist groups by various organisations. Even though he claims to regret those comments, it makes you wonder what he really thinks.

It has also recently come out that Corbyn may have links with IRA leaders in the past. How can we vote for this man? These organisations are hell bent on using any means to destroy the country where our future generations of children will want to live in peace. A man that supported a unified Ireland but wants to be the leader of the UK and break it at the same time?

It will certainly help get him that vote though.

Reason 5: Selling out for votes

Appeasing wrongdoing, or pretending it didn’t happen is one of the worst things any government can do. It sets a precedent that the wrongdoing is acceptable. Labour continue to do this for votes, a recent video showed Labour MP Virendra Sharma claiming that Pakistan isn’t harbouring or sponsoring terrorism. It's common knowledge amongst most major intelligence services that Pakistan has been a safe haven for terrorist groups from LeT, Hafiz Saeed to even protecting Bin Laden. What’s ironic, is Virendra Sharma comes from Punjab, an area of India which has spent centuries fighting terrorism and extremism. To sell out like this just to get the Pakistani vote, is spelling disaster for only his future generations to come.

When something is wrong, you need your leaders to come out and say it’s wrong, that’s why we elect them, not to pander to any community for votes.

Reason 6: Voter fraud

During the recent crackdown on voter fraud, Labour became alarmed the most. The prime reason being because its current voters are more likely to be involved in fraud than those of other parties. In 2014 the Electoral Commission published a report which singled out 16 local authority areas where it believed voter fraud to be especially prevalent. They included places like Birmingham, Bradford, Derby, Slough, Burnley, Coventry, Oldham, Tower Hamlets and Woking.

So reasons why I should vote for the Tories?

Aren’t they just sucking up to Indians for votes in the same way?

Yes the Tories are trying hard to win that Indian vote, but whilst they are listening we should use them to get what we want. Just as Labour are doing with its vote bloc. Remember its Labour who have started the identity politics and continue to play a dirty game. What we want is a healthy society, not one where politics is played for votes rather than the benefit of society.

Theresea May visited India barely 6 months into her leadership to further trade with India and was warmly welcomed by many including Narendra Modi.

It also wasn’t long ago we saw the previous Conservative prime minister, David Cameron appear at the Bhaktivedanta Manor and pay his respects.

Why else would I vote for the Tories and not Labour?

Let’s not forget Labours general incompetency at governance. Remember Brexit? Well had they not opened the doors in the early 2000s telling people that only a few thousands would come in, we probably wouldn’t have had to have a vote and leave the EU as immigration would have never become a problem, UKIP would never had breathing space.

The handling of the 2007 financial crisis. There was a point when the public sector became bigger than the private sector under Labour, any half literate citizen knows this just isn’t feasible. When it becomes more lucrative to sit at home on benefits than work, you create a zombie state.

Oh and that needless Iraq war. 

I’m not religious or practicing, why does it matter to me? Isn’t this just all anti-Muslim?

It does, because Labour still box you in as Indian and it sees you no different to Jews. It wants to support its core minority vote bloc to guarantee wins in seats where they reside and will listen to their concerns, not yours, whether it be about your daughters or your security.

All in all this isn’t a “Muslim bashing blog”, this is a “have some self-respect and see what Labour are doing and have done to your own community blog”. We should respect Muslims but we should not respect what Labour has done. They have allowed the menace of extremist views in communities to go unchecked. This could have all been a lot different had it been governed without a focus on identity politics, don’t give Labour the chance to destroy lives for votes again.

It's only been 70 years since Indians, Sikhs and Hindus got independence from the British, they integrated and found a new home in Britain. They now have a chance to vote in the country that once ruled their homeland, something that Indians just 70 years ago could only have dreamt of, don't throw that chance away to bring further subjugation of your own people.

We've also seen a desperate attempt by Jeremy Corbyn to politicise the Manchester terror attacks, Ironic as Labour MP Andy Burnham continued the appeasement in the past by opposing the governments strategy against radicalisation (Prevent).

Then in 2019 they have passed an anti-India motion on Kashmir which has alienated Indians. Indians have been attacked on the street, the Indian High Commission was attacked and effigies of the Indian PM burnt. These people have been emboldened by Labours policies.
